Global Shipping: Refinancing, Restructuring and Renaissance

We shall hear from Dr. Vince Hooper, Senior Lecturer in Accounting, Finance & Technology Business Planning, University of Greenwich, who will examine the risk factors affecting the Global Economy and the impact upon the UK Maritime Industry for 2017 and beyond.

In particular, the impact of global banks’ exposure to the shipping industry will be analysed and its impact upon world systemic risk will be assessed. In addition, a SWOT analysis will be conducted with respect to London becoming the predominant centre for shipping related finance and investment (relative to Germany).

Finally, a review of key economic and financial indices relevant to the global shipping industry will be covered and their important role in asset pricing modelling for explanatory and forecasting purposes.

This venue will be providing a Hot buffet breakfast
