UK SHORE Programme (Shipping Office for Reducing Emissions)
âĒ ÂĢ206m multiyear funding programme to accelerate the development of clean maritime solutions between 2022 - 2025
âĒ The programme will provide a number grant interventions to support the development of key maritime decarbonisation solutions
âĒ Broad focus on technologies and solutions including clean fuels and supporting infrastructure, zero or low emission propulsion including fuel cell and battery, green ports and low / zero emission shore power infrastructure.
Clean Maritime Demonstration Competition (CMDC) â Round 2
âĒ ÂĢ12 million fund for innovative clean maritime projects
âĒ Strand 1 â Feasibility Studies
âĒ Strand 2 â Collaborative R&D Projects
âĒ Applications close July 13th.
âĒ Projects start by 1 January 2023 and end by 31 August 2023
âĒ NOTE there will be future rounds of the CMDC as part of the UK SHORE programme.
Net Zero Hydrogen Fund
âĒ ÂĢ240m programme supporting the commercial deployment of low carbon hydrogen production facilities.
âĒ Strand 1 â DEVEX for FEED and post-FEED studies
âĒ Strand 2 â CAPEX support for immediate development and deployment
âĒ Applications close 22nd June (Strand 1) and 6th July (Stand 2)
âĒ Projects start by 1 January 2023 and end by March 2025.
âĒ There will be future rounds of Strand 1 & 2 in early 2023.
Industrial Fuel Switching Fund â Phase 2
âĒ Supporting the development of fuel switching and fuel switch enabling technologies, including hydrogen.
âĒ This grant will fund demonstration projects
âĒ Funding of up to ÂĢ6m per project
âĒ Applications due Autumn (dates TBC)
Strategic Innovation Fund (SIF)
âĒ The SIF is a ÂĢ450m multiyear programme that will fund and fund ambitious, innovative projects with the potential to accelerate the transition to net zero from 2022 â 2026.
âĒ The fund will have 4 focus areas:
 - Zero-emission transport
- Whole system integration
- Heat
- Data & Digitalisation
