The IBTC is rolling up its boatshed and joinery workshop doors to allow everyone to take a look at the numerous wooden boats being worked on by students and the skills taught in joinery.
Take a walk amongst the boats, try your hand at roving, watch a wood steaming demonstration, learn how a hand made oar is crafted and more.
Staff and students of the IBTC will be available to answer any questions you may have about the boats, joinery and what goes on at the college.
If you have ever thought about a boat of your own, take the opportunity to learn about the boats in need of a sponsor and what is involved.
IBTC is also holding a yard sale of tools, boat parts, timber and miscellaneous items so you might just pick up a bargain or that long searched for missing part.
