The talk. The tug SD Adept was built in 1980 (gross tonnage 384, length overall 39m, beam 9m.) A 25,000-hour overhaul of its Voith Schneider propeller was recently carried out in Devonport. The process will be described, including some unexpected challenges that were encountered.
