PHIL JONES MARINE

Phil Jones has 50 years experience in narrowboat construction / repair and also as an inland waterway enthusiast & boater.

Having worked in several Midland boatyards both full & part time, Phil moved to Hatherton Marina in 1988 as a moorer and took over the workshop & Dry Dock in 1990.

Phil has specialised in bespoke building of BCN style tugs, traditional & Dutch barge style narrowboats. Interspersing this with all aspects of dry dock work / repairs.

Phil specialises in the supply, renovation & marinisation of vintage diesel engines including; Russell Newberry, Gardner LW & LK, Lister SR/ST/JP/FR/TS/LP, Armstrong Siddeley, Dorman & Petter.

Phil is an authorised C&RT / EA Boat Safety Scheme examiner of 25 years, Gas Safe Registered (No. 525904) and authorised to carry out LPG work on all types of craft.
