In this session you will hear from Ash Penley, The Founder and CEO of ZOEX LTD, an up and coming clean-tech company in marine renewables, a Unicorn start up from Scotland. Ash is the inventor of a highly innovative Wave Energy converter, ZOEX, aiming to help Maritime Industry reach their net zero targets. ZOEX’s market in Maritime is huge, ranging from Ports and Harbours to Green corridors. One of ZOEX’s differentiators is being able to attach onto existing marine structures such as breakwaters, thus bringing the electricity to the point of need and reducing the cost drastically. With her business venture, Ash won various entrepreneurial awards and managed to raise £1.4m Government and private funds to develop this game-changer technology. Ash is a champion for diversity as a woman in a male-dominated Offshore energy sector, given the nickname, Force of Nature; by people who work with her, representing determination and tenacity.
