Fisheries Working Group (London & South East)
The Fisheries Working Group (London and South East) promotes and supports the UK fishing and aquaculture sector in the South East (London, Sussex, Kent, Essex).
With Maria Caulfield, MP for Lewes, Sussex; this group was founded by leading members of the Newhaven and Sussex Inshore Fishing fleet, the region’s commercial fishing ports, and National Maritime.
By bringing together fishing industry specialists in this area, the FLSE supports the region’s entire fishing industry, to ensure continued development and to strengthen its position as the leading centre in the UK for the processing and marketing of seafood and aquaculture produce.
Its goal is to deliver a community-led, long-term strategy, working with the entire supply chain from the marine environment to the end consumer.
The group is chaired by National Maritime Chief Executive, Peter Green.
The FLSE will meet bi-monthly and shares news, updates, and progress via on-line platforms.
