Grafmarine

Grafmarine are developing a new kind of renewable energy product. Our solar-based energy creation and storage system can be used at any size, across any distance via a tile based system. Over the last 5 years’ we have developed leading technology for energy creation and storage for marine environments, using new advanced 2D materials such as graphene and developing with advanced partners in energy storage with leading International PV manufacturers. Grafmarine have worked with 5x UK catapult centres and will soon begin testing at sea with the Offshore Renewable Energy Catapult in Wales.

During prototyping we have managed to save an oil tanker 10% of its fuel use (through IMO Naval ship architect verification). As the marine sector looks now to reach its Zero emission target, Grafmarine tiles can be applied to any flat surface to create and store energy both on land, and at sea, including wind farms, ports and marina structures. They are fully future replaceable, upgradable and provide an alternative third party source of renewable energy. We are now looking for partners to get this to market testing across the marine sector.
