Sustainable Management of UK Marine Resources workshop

UK Research and Innovation (UKRI) invite applications to attend a researcher – stakeholder workshop on 31 March 2020, focussed on the Sustainable Management of UK Marine Resources (SMMR) research programme.

The workshop aims to introduce the SMMR research programme to bring together an interdisciplinary community of researchers and stakeholders to discuss the challenges the programme will address and to facilitate the development of project partnerships.

The workshop will be held at Jury’s Inn Cardiff. The workshop will start at 10am and is expected to end no later than 4pm.

Registration to attend this event will open soon.

The deadline to register to attend the workshop is 12pm on 9 March 2020.

Individuals interested in submitting a proposal to future SMMR announcements of opportunity are strongly encouraged to attend. However attendance at the workshop is not a prerequisite for submitting a proposal and it is anticipated that workshop presentations will be streamed live.

With limited space available, if the event is oversubscribed UKRI reserve the right to manage attendance to ensure an appropriate balance of expertise, institutional and stakeholder representation. Applicants will be advised on whether their application is successful by no later than 16 March 2020.

Further details of the workshop agenda will be circulated to delegates prior to the meeting.

UKRI will reimburse essential travel and subsistence costs to support all attendance at the workshop within UKRI limits. Note that first class travel is not permitted and taxi fares can only be claimed in exceptional circumstances where there is no practical alternative. Details on how workshop attendees can apply for essential travel and subsistence costs will be circulated before the workshop.
